Book Shelves For The Wall

would you buy at a yard sale?
We just got married this year and brought a house. Now we have tons of stuff that I think we could sell for extra money but my husband thinks its a waste of time. I think alot of stuff would be good for kids that need stuff for their dorms.
Here's the short list tell me what you think and keep in mind everything is in excellent condition and no more that 3 years old
black iron bed Ikea, microwave oven, toster oven, new dresser ikea, several new in box glasses sets with decantor,8 colored vases(earth tones),silver and white book shelf, new in the box Lenox frames, designer clothes with tags attached, prada shoes never worn, wedding do-dads,2 matching torch lamps, pottery barn hanging lamp,ab swing, vintage records, computer desk, ikea wall shelves,
Would you buy a mattress? or bedding?
We got all new stuff from our shower and dont need any of these things but we could you the extra money for a vaca and I already gave alot of stuff to friends and family
Yes, there are numerous reasons to buy at a yard sale. You'd be surprised at all the NEW items you will find at deep discount prices. Before you decide to have a yard sale though, you need to check ebay. You have some great items and could make a lot more selling on ebay than at a yard sale. Just checking a wine decantor on ebay, prices ranged from $10 to $50 so definitely worth it! You should not expect to make more than 20 to 25 percent of the value at your yard sale though. It's a great way to clean out, maybe once or twice a year but you won't get rich in one day. See below for reasons to have a yard sale. Also, set a goal with your husband, a vacation fund and choose a destination together, he may be more inclined to go along with the idea if he's in on the rewards/benefits of having to help out.
Ten Reasons to Have a Garage Sale
Earn Extra Money, Make Room for New Stuff, Prepare to Move, It's Fun, Teach Your Kids (nieces and nephews) about Work and money, Turn the "Junk Room" into a _______ Room, You don't Play with Strawberry Shortcake Anymore, Spring Cleaning, You no longer want to be packrats, Achieve Family Goals. Good Luck!
