Christmas Hampers: Tis the Season to be Jolly!
Christmas or Yuletide Season is one of the, if not the most giving of all festivities in the calendar. And what is Christmas without a Christmas hamper to give to friends, family, and colleagues? If you’re planning to give one this Christmas, here are some basics that you may want to put in your holiday hamper.
- Christmas pudding. This is a staple you shouldn’t miss in making a Christmas hamper. Sometimes also known as a plum pudding, it is a rich steamed pastry dish that involves a lot of dried fruit, nuts, and alcohol mostly in the form of brandy. It is said that the longer the cooking time or marinating time the Christmas pudding gets, the better it tastes. In Britain especially, Christmas puddings are an essential to the holiday fare that their absence on the table may get some disapproving marks.
- A bottle of wine or spirits. Nothing says holiday cheer better than a bottle of bubbly or red. Choose a bottle of good champagne, brandy, port, or red wine for your Christmas hamper to ensure that the Christmas feast will truly be a festive one.
- Cheese. Cheese also makes up part of a basic Christmas hamper. A fine recommendation is a Blue Stilton cheese paired with some biscuits and a bottle of port.
- Mince pies. Like Christmas pudding, mince pies also make their glorious appearance during the Yuletide season and should also be a mainstay in a Christmas hamper. Traditionally made from meats or suet, today’s mince pies are mostly made up of dried fruits and spices.
These are just some of the basics that can be put inside a Christmas hamper. But of course, you can always tailor it further to suit your budget, taste, and the person you are giving it to. What are some cool ideas for a room makeover for a 13 year old girl?
I am turning 13 this year and next year I will get to get a makeover in my room! My favorite colors are blue,pink,red,orange,and black. My room is not that big and not that small. My room is upstairs it is like a attic but it is shaped as the roof goes so it is slanted than the ceiling than slanted it is not straight up and ceiling. I have a grayish carpet berber. I have a cream color desk,dresser, chest of drawers a hamper and a full size bed with a table and a pink lamp which I don't like. I am a girly girl. So any ideas to make my room girly girl and with my favorite colors, and how to place my furniture in my room. Also and orangized stuff to put magazines and trash cans. Oh and also I have a big white jelewey box that stands on the floor and two windows that are 62" or 65".

You should make your room into a lounge type space with lots of pillows, rugs, and beanie bag chairs. You should use a deep orange and pink for your walls. You should buy all of your accessories in mismatched floral and polka dotted patterns. Then you should find a cute comforter, maybe one that is doubled sided with pink on one side and orange on the other. Then you can get cute floral sheets to go with it. A canopy for your bed would look cute too. You could also get different patterned and colored lanterns to hang from your ceiling. A cute window seat with pillows would also be cute. You also probably want to swap your grey carpet for hard wood floors. And for organizing your stuff, I would use cute baskets you can get at a craft store. Hope I helped:)
